Art Finds During Quarantine - Highlights

This quarantine got us stuck in a time loop and what makes me look forward to for another day are packages. Here are the artsy stuff I got!

The higher brush sizes felt easier to use but I still recommend that you purchase brushes that have softer bristles if you plan on experimenting with watercolors since they are easier to control.

I can't tell you how much I have purchased kneaded erasers. As an artist, I'd say it is a must.

When cleaning up small details in sketches or maybe carving out the sketch itself, these Koh i noor is also useful if you don't have electric erasers just yet. However, these are sold per piece for almost a hundred pesos, excluding the eighty peso shipping fee, so maybe you can get the 12 pieces pack being sold in Lazada for four hundred pesos.

I always wanted to get one of these for two years and I finally got one! Well, initially, I wanted to settle for maybe like 12, 18 colors because it would be cheaper but I ended up buying a 36 one because of the shimmery, shiny stuff. The quality of the paints are great so definitely worth the buy!

This one only has a few reviews on Lazada but I took the risk and bought it because it is cheaper than the famous gouache sets. Though it is chalky, which is absolutely normal for gouache, it still helped me learn how to use gouache compared to those that come in tubes.

This one also has a few reviews on Lazada but the thin ones in Lazada are so thin that I have a feeling I might break it. Plus, this is also battery operated but it also comes with a cord so basically it helps me feel less irritated with tangling wires. Only issue with it is that the batteries are quite loose so it doesn't turn up as bright compared to when it is connected to the outlet. Before I had this, I struggled with duplicating my traditional work 'cause I would often use the window in the morning or use a clear, plastic tupperware and a flashlight inside it.

I think this is the most recent art purchase I have. The reason why I bought it in Shopee even though I have a "Buy all electronics only in Lazada" type of principle, is because it is cheaper and comes with a glove freebie. It works fine and I have finally finished a couple of digital output because of it compared to when I use my phone.

I prefer to use Fabriano paper in my entire traditional art journey but the problem is, I find it expensive in most e-commerce platforms but recently,  I found this shop in Lazada which offers a cheaper price compared to other stores.

And beep! That's all for the mean time! Maybe I'll update this if I find more.
